Carlingford is a Medieval Town in the North of Co. Louth along the East coast of Ireland. It is situated midway between Dublin and Belfast. Carlingford is the ideal location for weekend breaks or short breaks. It has much to offer the visitor, from hill walking, sailing, golf and an adventure centre. Carlingford has many great restaurants and bars and beautiful medieval buildings including King John's Castle, Carlingford Abbey, Taaffes castle and the Mint. The Tain Trail is a walking and cycling heritage trail of the Boyne Valley and Carlingford is one of the central villages on the trail. |
